Inside Sales Account Executive

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organized account executive in our Mountain View offices to focus on advancing Krillion’s product-based, local search platform and services for mid-to-large sized consumer goods businesses.

The ideal candidate will be committed to creating new business opportunities and have a deep understanding of and solid experience in either Internet and/or Search advertising sales, online shopping search sales, or consumer software services. Candidates must possess experience in developing client relationships, be results-driven, and demonstrate a history of successful client relationship management and sales.

You must be comfortable in qualifying prospects, making cold calls to generate interest, and closing sales in the $50 to $100K range. You must also have demonstrated experience prospecting and growing an account list. Expand to see more.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the entire sales process, from prospecting to close.
  • Drive new business revenue growth from identified prospects and client accounts in vertically defined consumer goods products areas.
  • Develop and cultivate deep relationships at all levels of the marketing organizations.
  • Identify and understand trends within clients’ vertical industries Krillion serves.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Present and articulate advanced product features.
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly revenue targets

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2 years minimum sales experience
  • Understanding of B2C Internet and Search related marketing.
  • Proven track record with inside sales.
  • Strong knowledge of, and established relationships within consumer goods industry a plus.
  • Ability to work and contribute in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Travel required.

SQA Engineer (Java/Web/DB)

We’re looking for a versatile, hands-on, self-motivated SQA engineer to help us keep our industry-innovating platform for local shopping information under control!

You will be designing, creating, and executing test schemes for our entire infrastructure, which includes public, consumer-oriented, large-scale web applications and widgets, complicated database structures, and data-format-intensive data integration modules. You’ll spend your time designing and developing “gray-box” tests and tools, creating acceptance & regression tests, defining and creating automation scripts for web apps, digging through database tables, and doing hands-on functional testing of new features and releases.

You will be working in an environment that incorporates a wide range of modern software technologies, including Java, XML, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Ajax, and SQL, and we work on both Windows and Linux platforms. Thus, you’ll challenged to keep a broad set of technical knowledge, and you’ll stay sharp on current development trends.

You’ll be working as a member of the development team, directly with our team of experienced senior engineers. We are a small company with an open office environment, so we encourage collaboration and interaction, and we expect you to be fully involved in offering ideas on how to best promote quality throughout our platform.   • Measuring performance and load capacity.

Experience and Qualifications:

Java Engineer, Data Acquisition/Integration

We’re looking for a versatile, well-rounded, self-motivated Java engineer to manage the “data” side of our industry-innovating platform for local shopping information.

You will be evolving, maintaining, and executing Krillion’s data infrastructure, which acquires and catalogs large volumes of local shopping data from many different sources, including product info, pricing, availability, geocoding, etc. More specifically, you’ll be:

  • Writing code to extract data from various sources (both pulled by web crawling and API calls, and pushed to us via data feeds)
  • Executing these extraction modules, and processing the data to integrate it into a structured database that is used to drive our commercial web presence.
  • Writing tools to monitor the health and status of all these data sources.
  • Creating and executing outgoing feeds of our data for external partners.

To do this, you’ll need to be fluent with multi-threaded programming, XML/HTML parsing (doms, xpaths, etc.) and regular expressions to access and re-format data; HTTP and FTP for accessing data remotely; and SQL and relational database structures to help catalog all this data.

  • Core Java language and major APIs.
  • Strong background in data structures.
  • XML syntax and technologies, including parsing and querying APIs (SAX, DOM, Dom4j, XPath, etc.) and transformations (XSLT).
  • Regular expressions.
  • Working with relational databases (SQL, JDBC), preferably using an ORM system like Hibernate.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix.
  • Basic knowledge of web presentation technologies (HTML, CSS, DHTML, JSP, JavaScript, Ajax, etc.)
