Pros: works well on carpets, cleans deep, makes carpet look refreshed

An Amazing Little Machine
Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, cleans quickly and efficiently
Cons: Reservoir needs to be filled fairly often. No hoses or other attachments for furniture, etc.
BottomLine: My final recommendation is that this machine is well worth the money. It is well-priced, easy to use, of good workmanship, and is nice looking as well.

Bissell to the Rescue!
Pros: Reasonably priced, works as claimed, and has everything you'll need to get started.
Cons: Basic unit with somewhat limited features.
BottomLine: This basic shampooer does what it claims and does it well. For about the cost of renting a shampooer twice, you can own this one.

Bissell QuickSteamer Upright Vacuum - When Your Carpets Need to be Cleaned Frequently

Cons: small solution and waste container, doesn't heat water
