Canon SD750
Model: POWERSHOT

Description: Canon's iconic ELPH design achieves a stunning new evolution with the PowerShot SD750 Digital ELPH. Utterly simple edge lines and cut surfaces gleam subtly with high-grade finishes; now offered in a choice of silver or black and silver. Of course, style means little without substance, and here the SD750 Digital ELPH more than delivers. 7.1 megapixels and DIGIC III create magnificent images, while exciting advanced technologies include Face Detection, Red-eye Correction, and time lapse movies. Always sized to go, the SD750 Digital ELPH is now extra-durable, with a tough scratch-resistant coating on its anti-reflective, brilliantly colorful 3.0-inch LCD screen.

ZOOM - but at a price?

Pros: Good zoom, and image stabilization works. Overall good image quality.
Cons: Battery life not great even when using Ni-MH. Pricey for resolution.
BottomLine: If you can find it on sale, it's worth it. At $499, look elsewhere.

Excellent shots with fine tuning and practice

Pros: Image quality! Ability to capture digital video, and easy upload of photos.
Cons: Autofocus settings are slow. Ships with 32MB CF card; need more memory to capture video.
BottomLine: Novices will find a challenge, Intermediates will find a good blend with options, and Advanced users should consider the overall package. ALL will enjoy the excellent image quality.

I'm officially in love with this camera.

Pros: 12x zoom, good image quality, stabilization, good battery life, focuses quickly.
Cons: Lens cap falls off. SD card shares battery compartment. Set button in non-intuitive location.
BottomLine: If you want an SLR, but cannot justify or afford one, this will keep you happy. Lots of capability for someone wanting to get creative. (Or if you like buttons!)

Cons: Shutter Lag takes getting used to.
Low-light focusing could be better.
