Pros: Affordable, light, live view, 10MP, ISO button/settings in viewfinder
Cons: Warbly, milk carton lid-like dial control, Digic 3 - not 4
BottomLine: Great product for an entry level DSLR user on a tight budget. Maybe not the best for somebody looking to upgrade.

Great for entry into SLR photography

Pros: Competitively priced, fully featured, uses Canon lenses.
Cons: More expensive cameras exist with better features... but this is a great entry level SLR.
BottomLine: Great entry level SLR - easy to use on auto mode, but has variety of options for those that want them.

CANON REBEL XSI WITH EF-S 18-55MM LENS - A Home Run for Canon

Pros: The camera with lens works out to be JUST a bit cheaper than without.
Cons: The high price of even an entry level DSLR is intimidating to the noob.
BottomLine: If you're getting this, get the bundle. The cost is just a touch lower than if you bought the lens separate. And you'll need a lens anyway, right?
