A good outdoors GPS with limited utility

Good unit, but designers are lazy
Pros: Easy to use, menu system is intuitive.
Cons: No rechargeable battery, screen scratches easily, computer cord hard to attach.
BottomLine: Good unit. Some good innovations. Lacks some refinement. Price is becoming more reasonable ($230-$300), and is probably worth the features and versatility this unit offers.

New SporTrak doesn't live up to its potential
Pros: Great GPS satellite reception; broad set of features.
Cons: Poor screen viewing angle; usually requires backlight; keys unnecessarily hard to use.
BottomLine: All in all, the SporTrak Color is worth the extra money only if the expanded memory capacity, compass, weather functions, and color screen are must-have features.
