Pros: It is fast and dependable. It takes you where you need to go.
Cons: Slow to acquire a signal and sometimes give you wrong turns.
BottomLine: My final recommendation is to not buy this item because it is just not worth the money and has to low of a signal.

My experiance with the Magellan 1700

Pros: Size. Clear pronunciation of the turn by turn instructions. clear graphics.
Cons: The touch screen kind of needs a heavy "touch"
BottomLine: I highly recomend this unit for its size, ease of use, and precise navagation
