OLYMPUS D-40: The Near-Perfect Camera

Pros: Compact and Slick, 4-5 Megapixels, Price, Various Photo settings
Cons: SmartMedia limited, Battery life could be better, tinted photos, too many options?
BottomLine: It really depends on what you are looking for in a camera, but if compact size, price, style, and 4-5 Megapixels are your requisites, then the Olympus D-40 is it.

Good features, Slow & VERY bad battery life.

Pros: Many Features, easy to use, good pictures even indoors or in low-light
Cons: Very slow power-up, extremely SLOW shutter, the worse battery life in the market. DO NOT BUY
BottomLine: Battery life is so bad, all the nice features are waisted. Like having a cell phone with a 2-calls battery life

I wish I had bought two

Pros: Goes anywhere, provides publication-quality pictures; great warranty service
Cons: Long learning curve for some; delicate mechanisms; no longer sold!
BottomLine: An amazing, flexible tool that I'm always finding new uses for. Small enough for your pocket, yet good enough to take pro pictures.

it's alright...

Pros: small, 4 megapixels is great! lots of different features... great quality pictures. pretty durable.
Cons: freaking batteries don't last very long. doesn't come with a case, or rechargeable batteries...
BottomLine: don't recommend it unless you can get it under $400.
