Solid Blue Ray player with good backwards compatibility.
Pros: Backwards compatibility with older home theatre systems, great picture quality.
Cons: Unlit remote control, one "fit and finish" issue. Doesn't remember disk location after power down.
BottomLine: I recommend the BD-55 if you need the backwards compatibility of the connections it offers. If you don't the BD-35 has the same quality at a lower price.

Panasonic DMP-BD55 1080p Blu-Ray Player - Excellent And Fast
Pros: Features, performance, picture quality playing both Blu-Ray and standard DVD, good remote
Cons: Could be cheaper still

Perfect for my non-HDMI Hometheater
Pros:  7.1 channel audio, component and HDMI video, plays  all DVD & CD formats 
Cons:  Absolutely nothing
BottomLine: If you have a non HDMI home Receiver this is perfect, if you do I imagine this would still be perfect.
