The Samsung BD-P1600 Blu-Ray Player isn't perfect but definitely worth taking a close look at.
Pros: Excellent HD playback, low price, Netflix, Blockbuster and Pandora Streaming
Cons: Proprietary USB dongle needed for Wireless access, not fully profile 2.0 compliant
BottomLine: If you can overlook its flaws then this may be the player for you.

2 hours later update still not finished Samsung BD-P1600
Pros: says it works with netflix I can return it
Cons: fried it self first time it was plugged in.
BottomLine: I cant rate this any thing but terrible. It broke before it ever played a disc. Roughly 3 hours Ive waited for it to finish updating and no change.

It's OK
Pros: Plays Blu Ray well and good Internet connections - especially good for Netflix streaming!
Cons: Its a lightweight unit - I worry about durability.
BottomLine: The Samsung BluRay has a great playback picture. It's a low end, entry-level unit. Compelling feature was the Internet connection - Netflix works great! Worry about durability - it's light.

samsung BD P1600 blu ray player
Pros: ability to download movies directly to my tv set.
Cons: if you want to use the wireless connection you have to buy a $80 antena
BottomLine: this blu ray is worth the price i paid. if u hate driving to and returning movies to rental stores then this is for you.

(UPDATED 3/5/10) Great Netflix player, Marginal Blu-ray Player. Awful DVD player.
Pros: Netflix and Pandora connection. Youtube access was added.
Cons: Won't play most DVDs. Skips on Blu-ray. Noisy read head chatter.
BottomLine: It's a great Netflix Instant view box, that can play Blu-ray, DVD, and CD.

Rather diasppointing
Pros: Streams from internet, Netflix, etc.
Cons: Universal remote isn't. Poor quality control.
BottomLine: When I go back to buy a replacement, it won't be this one.

If you're waiting for Blu-ray, GET THIS!
Pros: Great picture, Netflix on demand and Pandora.
Cons: Price and a few tech exclusions
