Pros: Inexpensive. Decent sound for it's size and price. Gently ramping alarm. Radio works well. Cons: Display doesn't have adjustable brightness. May be too bright at night for some. BottomLine: The Sony ICF-C218 clock radio is a great bargain that provides basic but satisfactory performance and functionality. The factory preset time makes it a "plug in and go" affair.
Cheap Walmart Alarm Clock Radio ain't enough to wake me up...
Pros: Automatic Daylight savings time adjustment. Decent FM radio for $10 Cons: Buzzer is too weak and it probably won't replace my regular Alarm clock. BottomLine: How could SONY F*%# up a Clock radio ?
Pros: Time is preset Cons: preset time was not correct display is too dim - selectable brightness would be better. BottomLine: It works, but has bells and whistles that may annoy you after you have lost or thrown away the manual. Recommended at the price.
Pros: Works well, cheap, easy to use Cons: Time zone coverage for Canadian model doesn't cover all Canadian time zones BottomLine: A plain dependable radio, but make sure it works properly in your time zone.
