Very solid choice, better bang for the buck than the Kenmore 1603
Pros: Well-rounded, worthwhile upgrade vs. Kemore 1603 for just a small price premium.
Cons: Silverware rack design a possible negative for some users, $90 price difference
BottomLine: Best bang for the buck dishwasher I found.

Okay results for the price.
Pros: Does a good job, lots of features, fairly quiet.
Cons: Often items need to be rewashed.
BottomLine: Very good for the price. Lots of useful features. Could be better with a top sprayer arm.

Squeaky clean! Halelujah!
Pros: Pour Scour, Quiet running, space-saving utensil basket, flexible arrangements for varying dish sizes, CLEANS dishes
Cons: It could be less expensive... but is definitely worth it.
BottomLine: A dishwasher that washes... what a treat. I recommend this dishwasher because it does what it says it will do. Thank you, Whirlpool.

A quiet, well designed dishwasher
Pros: Quiet. Cleans pots and pans without soaking and wasting water.
Cons: None.
BottomLine: This is a quiet, well designed dishwasher. It's a great alternative to the Kenmore and you don't have to buy it from Sears. Definitely recommend.

Large Difference in Cleanliness

Great dishwasher, little to complain about
Pros: Quiet, sani-rinse, movable top drawer, etc.
Cons: Occasionally have to rewash top rack items
BottomLine: Really good dishwasher for the money. Has enough bells and whistles to make it extra helpful and only have to rewash some top items occasionally.

PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY
Pros: Great while it worked
Cons: Dead after less than 3 years
BottomLine: With all the problems and Whirlpool's poor customer service, I would buy a different brand. (Kenmore is the same product, just a different name. Both have same recalls.)
