I just stood there next to George Jetson - the HE Whirlpool WTW6600SW2 "HE" recommended.
Pros: HE operation, heavy duty unit for a longer service life, quiet.
Cons: Should be used with HE detergent only.
BottomLine: My many years of owning Whirlpool products has shown all of those I've owned to be reliable with a long service life. Maybe there's a Whirlpool in your future.

Saves water, cleans clothes well and amuses the cat, too
Pros: Very water efficient, cleans well, HUGE capacity, clean cycle avoids mold.
Cons: More expensive than a traditional top-loader.
BottomLine: Recommended. This machine cleans laundry well. Huge drum means fewer loads. Saves nearly as much water and energy as front-load machines without the mold problems.

Time Will Tell, but For Now . . . It's Great!
Pros: HUGE capacity, cleaner clothes, shorter drier time, great dispensers, easy to operate
Cons: Skinny items can catch in washplate, higher energy consumption than front loaders, HE detergent only
BottomLine: If you want a top loader, this has got to be at least highly considered . . . but all the 'time will tells' have yet to be seen.

Watch out for this washer!
Pros: large capacity, cleans well, efficient
Cons: money get through groove in bottom and make noise. clothes sometimes get tangled and twisted
BottomLine: Don't buy this machine unless you are diligent about nothing being in pockets or excessively dirty.I'm stuck with it.I wish I would have gotten a cheap machine!

After 6 Months Not Happy With My Cabrio 6600SW Top Load Washer
Pros: Cleans regular load of clothes good.
Cons: Clothes are twisted too much, mildew problem, will not clean bulky items

If you like ironing...
Pros: Wrinkled clothing; terrible rinse cycle.
Cons: Looks cool. Quiet.
BottomLine: Too expensive for what you get. Go with a real front loader instead. Clothes come out wrinkled, rinse cycle doesn't get out soap, and clothes don't come out clean.

I just love my beautiful birthday present from my hubby My top load whirlpool washer
Pros: Easy to load, love not having to bend over, cleans my clothes great
Cons: It took a long time to figure out how to get it into my home.

As Much Fun as a New Car
Pros: Noticeably cleaner clothes, user friendly, and very entertaining.
Cons: It doesn't make breakfast.
BottomLine: A better choice than a front loader--no stooping down to load/unload clothes, less trouble with mold, very quiet with minimal spin vibration.
